Effective Date: August 15 2026
These terms govern your use of the Vascular Wellness Institute website. By using this site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Everything on this website is published for general educational purposes. It describes conditions and treatments in broad terms and cannot account for your particular history, symptoms, medications, or circumstances.
Nothing here is a substitute for an evaluation by a qualified physician. Do not use this site to diagnose yourself, to decide against seeing a doctor, or to delay care you have been advised to get. If something you read here concerns you, that is a reason to call us, not a reason to draw a conclusion.
Reading these pages, submitting a form, or emailing us does not establish a physician-patient relationship. That relationship begins when you are seen and accepted as a patient of the practice, in person, and not before.
Until then, we cannot give you medical advice about your own situation, and nothing we send you in response to a website enquiry should be read as advice about your care.
If you are having a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
Do not use our contact forms, email, or the patient portal to report an urgent problem. Those channels are not monitored continuously and a message may not be read for some time. Symptoms that need immediate attention include chest pain, difficulty breathing, sudden weakness or numbness on one side, trouble speaking, a leg or foot that has become suddenly cold, numb, painful, or discoloured, or bleeding that will not stop.
You use this site at your own risk. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise that it will be free of errors or interruptions, and content may change without notice.
Please do not attempt to interfere with the site, gain access to areas you are not authorised to use, scrape or harvest content, or use the site for any unlawful purpose.
Email and website forms are not secure channels. Information you send through them can be intercepted or misdirected, and we cannot guarantee its confidentiality in transit.
Please do not send detailed medical information, images of a wound or a limb, test results, insurance identifiers, or your Social Security number through a website form or by ordinary email. Use the patient portal for anything of that kind, or call the office.
Website forms ask only for what we need to contact you and route your enquiry to the right person. If you send more than that, we will handle it carefully — but the safer channel is the portal.
Submitting a request through this website is a request, not a booking. An appointment exists when our office has confirmed it with you directly. We will get back to you as promptly as we can, and we cannot promise a response within any particular time.
Some forms on this site are provided through third-party services. Information you enter into those forms is handled under the agreements we hold with those providers alongside these terms.
The patient portal is operated separately from this website and has its own terms and its own login. Your use of the portal is governed by those terms.
Keep your portal credentials to yourself. If you think someone else has gained access to your account, tell us as soon as you can.
If you are a patient and you have given us your mobile number, we may send you appointment reminders by text. These come from our electronic health record system, eClinicalWorks. You are enrolled at the practice, not through this website.
We send appointment reminders only. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
To stop receiving reminders, reply STOP to any message, or tell any member of staff. Message and data rates may apply depending on your plan. Your mobile carrier is responsible for delivery and is not liable for messages that arrive late or not at all. We do not sell your mobile number and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Receiving text reminders is never a condition of receiving care from us.
The text, images, graphics, page design, and logos on this site belong to Vascular Wellness Institute or are used with permission. You are welcome to read, print, and share pages for your own personal use or to discuss with your doctor.
Please do not republish, redistribute, or use our content commercially without written permission.
Some treatments described on this site are performed using products made by other companies, and those product names are the trademarks of their owners. We name them so you know what is being used. Naming a product does not mean its manufacturer endorses this practice, or that we endorse anything beyond our clinical use of it.
We link to other websites where they are useful — professional societies, hospitals, patient resources. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement of everything on the other end of it. When you follow a link away from this site, the other site’s terms apply.
We do not promise a particular result. Medical and surgical outcomes depend on the individual patient, and two people with the same diagnosis can have very different courses.
Where this site describes what treatment typically involves, or cites published research, that is general information about groups of patients. It is not a prediction about you. Where a patient has shared their experience, that is one person’s account and not a representation of what anyone else should expect.
How we collect and use information through this site is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. Our handling of your protected health information as a patient of the practice is governed separately by our Notice of Privacy Practices under HIPAA.
Developer: link “Privacy Policy” to /privacy-policy/ and “Notice of Privacy Practices” to its URL if one exists. If it does not, remove that clause rather than linking to nothing.
We want this site to be usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, or other assistive technology, and we work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. If you have difficulty using any part of this site, please call us at (941) 312-6196 and we will help you get the information you need and look into the problem.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Vascular Wellness Institute is not liable for any damages arising from your use of this website, including damages resulting from reliance on information published here, from errors or omissions in it, or from the site being unavailable.
Nothing in this section limits our responsibility for the care we provide to our patients. This section is about the website.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from your use of this website will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Sarasota County, Florida.
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date at the top of the page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms. Material changes will be noted on the page rather than made silently.
Questions about these terms can go to either office.
